It is time for LOPC members to nominate people to be elders or deacons for the term beginning January 2009.  It is a great privilege to nominate members who will serve LOPC as elected lay leaders. It is also a great responsibility to serve as those lay leaders.
The primary qualifications to look for in nominating your fellow members are:

• Strong commitment to Jesus Christ and the church’s Statement of Faith
• Active participation in worship and the team ministries at LOPC
• Stewardship commitment of time, talents and money
• Leadership ability and organizational skills
• Compassion in human relationships
• An open-minded approach to ideas and problems
• Spiritual depth and maturity
• Ability to equip people for ministry and work in a team-based leadership model. 

Nominations will be accepted through May 4, 2008 for the 2009 term.
