Spiritual and Personal Growth 

Throughout the year, Singles Ministry sponsors Bible Studies and Workshops focusing on areas of spiritual and personal growth such as Christian Dating, Healthy Boundaries and Finances (to name a few recent ones!)  Groups of singles also attend LOPC Spiritual Formation events together.  Upcoming Bible Studie, Workshops and Spiritual Formation Opportunities are listed below.

Lenten Bible Study for Singles

Sharon Bartlett will lead a bible study for singles on Sunday afternoons from 5 – 6 beginning March 1, 2009.  More details will be provided nearer to the beginning of this study

Workshops

ACTing Up with the Apostles: Ongoing Sunday Morning Bible Study or Acts, 10:30 - noon in the Davies Room.  Class begins September 21. Dr. Zach Flanigan, Asst. Professor of Theology and Religious Studies at St Mary's College, will kick off the study.  He'll be speaking on the extra-biblical history of the early church. Cost of Resource Guide: $22. Weavers: is an opportunity to study, participate in and share Christian practices in a safe community. It strengthens your relationship with and knowledge of God, in Jesus Christ. The reading, teaching and work together is organized into 4-6 week modules with gatherings every two weeks. Note: you must complete the "Introduction to Weavers" before participating in a Weavers Module in order to understand the commitment to this faith experience.  The next Weavers Introduction is scheduled for September 17.  Module 1A begins October 1, and Module 6 begins September 24. Science and Religion Study Group: Regular participants discuss the bridge between Christian Faith and Science in an open and non-judging manner.  Meets the 3rd Monday of each month, from 7:15 - 9 p.m. in the Davies room.  Contact Ed Schoenburger for more information: edschoenberger@1964.usna.com
